To fulfill its mission, the La Cense Endowment Fund works in three complementary and interdependent areas: education, equine mediation and the dissemination of culture. The launch in 2024 of this international prize, accompanied by a prestigious jury, emphasizes the symbiosis of these three areas of action through the prism of photography.

The La Cense Prize is awarded to a working professional photographer whose work highlights the relationship between man and horse through the uniqueness of a series of images, a reportage or, more broadly, a personal, artistic or documentary visual approach in keeping with the theme of the Prize.

Each entry must be supported by a statement of intent presenting the candidate's work, accompanied by a portfolio of 5 to 20 titled, dated and captioned images.

Polka
Prize partner

Founded in 2007 by the Genestar family, Polka is an innovative concept that combines a cultural and artistic project - with a 300m2 gallery in the heart of the Marais district in Paris and over thirty international photographers represented - with an editorial project featuring a biannual magazine distributed by newsstand and subscription. Illustrated by the slogan "Every photo has its story", Polka's positioning is characterized by its ability to expose and tell the world's reality, exploring and deciphering major economic and social phenomena, from photographic reportage to artistic creation. In 2019, Polka is launching its third entity, the Factory Polka, a concept store entirely dedicated to photography, with the primary aim of opening up the offer of print sales to a wider audience, in situ, online and off the walls as part of pop-up installations as part of occasional collaborations, notably with the Bon Marché Rive Gauche in Paris.
